Mailbox Monday for 5/2/12

Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme created by Marcia at Mailbox Monday and is being hosted all this month by Martha of Martha's Bookshelf.

I received an ARC of Let the Devil Sleep by John Verdon, a hardcover of The American Bible by Stephen Prothero, and a trade paperback of A Bitter Truth by Charles Todd for upcoming TLC Book Tours.

I received a hardcover of Rather Outspoken by Dan Rather from Media Connect for review.

I received a trade paperback of The Pack: Retribution by L.M. Preston for review.

I bought a trade paperback of Cards on the Table by Agatha Christie on my last trip to Barnes & Noble.

I bought the first (and only season) of The River on DVD for $8.89 from BestBuy.

Nice mailbox! I'm betting that the Dan Rather book is full of great stories! It's a shame they don't make jounalists like that anymore. Enjoy all of your new goodies! Have a great week!

I've never seen The River but the previews looked intriguing. Too bad it got canceled but that's a great price for the dvd anyway. Happy reading and viewing!

An interesting selection! Agatha Christie is a blast from the past. I ought to read another by her one day.
My Mailbox is here.
Happy Memorial Day!

You have several here that I am interested in, including A Bitter Truth and The Pack. I love to pick up an Agatha Christie or Rinehart now and then. I am going to check my box of books saved from college as I wouldn't be surprised to have those authors in there.
I am not familiar with The River but we have been watching hours of NCIS lately and really liking that show.
Happy reading!

Great books! Another Agatha Christie, I see. I'm really enjoying my AC journey so far. I just love Hercule Poirot!

I'm SO pissed that they cancelled The River. I think it had potential.

Enjoy your books...have a great week!

Hey, it's me again. I was wondering if you would mind adding a 'subscribe via email' option to your blog? They have an option in the add a gadget menu in Blogger. I've started keeping up with my favorite blogs that way because my Google Reader is so overwhelmingly crammed! I hope you don't mind doing it...for a friend. *hugs*
