CSN Review & The Story of What Happened to the Old Ones

So as many of you already know, I was super excited to get the opportunity to review another product from CSNStores.  I was really looking forward to picking something out for Aidan to put in his room as we redecorated it.  We had actually gone through a few ideas together and just a few hours before we were going to make our final decision, Aidan had an accident.

I'm still a little foggy on the details but for one reason or another Aidan was sitting on my bed, watching TV, and cutting some pictures out of a magazine for a school project.  Within 15 minutes he came out of my room crying.  At first I thought he cut himself or hurt himself in some other way.  It took a few minutes before he was able to tell me that somehow he cut the top sheet as he was cutting the pictures out.  He couldn't tell me how he did, I'm not even sure how he managed that one, but he did it.  He was scared that I was going to be mad at him, which I really wasn't.  I would rather have him cut my sheets rather than something else.  So long story short, I ended up picking sheets out for my bed instead of his.  It was that or get him a TV for his room instead, and he's still too young for that one.

My bedding is all dark brown with a little blue, so I needed to look for chocolate brown sheets.  I'm really picky though when it comes to my sheets.  Too high a thread count and I don't like the way they feel or look.  They all tend to be too "satiny" for me.  Too low a thread count and they are just rough and I don't like that either.  I guess I'm like Goldilocks that way (minus the blond hair).

After looking at a lot of sheet sets, I picked out the Luxor Treasure 530 Thread Count Solid Sheet Set from Simple Luxury.  Once I got them, they went into the wash and onto my bed that same day.  I've now had a few days of sleeping in them and I love them.  I think I've found the perfect thread count for me.  They are soft without being too soft, if that makes any sort of sense.  I even like their shade of chocolate more than a lot of other sheets I've looked at.  It has a richness to it that doesn't come across as too shiny.  It's just right.

I would encourage you to visit their site and look around for a while.  I'm almost positive that you will find something to your liking.

After Kathy commented, I figured I better finish telling the story.  Aidan still got the Night Fox Rug.  I felt bad for him so I went ahead and bought it.  He loves it, I just hope he doesn't cut it up too. :-)

CSN Review Coming Up: Check Your Local Listings

It was nice to open my email the other day and find a wonderful surprise.  Once again I've been given the opportunity to review one of CSN Stores fantastic products.  My only issue now is deciding what I want.

Aidan has been wanting to redo his room and one of the first things we started looking for were modern rugs, rather than the more old fashioned one that is there now.  So I got on there tonight and found this really cool circular rug that would be perfect because he loves the color blue and foxes are one of his favorite animals.

Of course there are tons of other things that we would need for his new room; sheet sets, new lamps, and we still need a globe.

I haven't quite decided yet but I'll let you guys know what our decision is soon.

CSN Stores: Hamilton Beach 7 Quart Slow Cooker Review

As you can tell I had to go with the stock image CSN Stores has on their website because I still don't have a camera to take lovely pictures to share with you guys.  I actually received my stainless steel, Hamilton Beach 7 quart slow cooker ages ago but it's been sitting in it's box waiting for cold weather.  I just can't seem to use a slow cooker when it's over 70 degrees outside.

Once that cold weather rolled in I was all about it though.  I've made chili in it twice and my roommate had made menudo once.  That's only been within the last two weeks.  I love the size of this slow cooker because the one I had before was smaller and I was never able to get enough food made with it.  This one allows to me make the right amount of food without stressing out about it.  Did I mention the stainless steel finish is gorgeous, it looks so good on my kitchen counter right now.  Especially since where it sits is right next door to a stand that has a silver tinsel tree with white lights on it.  The lights have beautiful warm reflection of it.

My only drawback is the fact it is stainless steel.  My other slow cooker isn't and I'm used to one that doesn't get all that warm on the outside.  The first time I used this one I wasn't thinking and crabbed the side to move it a little after it had been on for a few hours.  Needless to say my hands didn't like that all too much.  I quickly acclimated myself to my new situation and haven't done it since.

I'm not sure I can stop loving this one right now so if any of you need slow cookers or any other kitchen appliances, head on over and check it out.

CSN Stores Review Coming Up!

Can I say how super excited I am to be given an opportunity to review one of CSN Stores great products.  They seem to have every thing imaginable under the sun so narrowing down what I'm going to review is going to be a little hard.

They have every item of furniture you could ever need to have in your home.  I've been needing to look at new TV stands for a while now so that was the first place I looked.  I'm absolutely in love with this one, Nuevo Silva TV stand.

Of course you can never have too many bookcases and I'm thinking of getting a smaller one corner that I currently have nothing there.  It's screaming for adornment.  This one caught my eye, Sauder Studio Edge Akimbo Bookcase Bronze.

Or I may get a globe for Aidan who is fascinated by geography right now, a larger crock pot so I can start cooking whole chickens which my son loves to eat, or maybe even a new rug for my living room, maybe even new wall sconces for my bathroom, the possibilities are endless.  I'm going to leave my final decision a secret right now but I promise it's probably something I mentioned in this post.  Come on back to find out what I'm reviewing.  In the meantime please head on over to CSN Stores to look around and discover what they have to offer.
