Now I'm a humongous Christmas geek so when I came across these two challenges I was thrilled. What better way to celebrate the holiday season than by reading about them. What I did not take into account was the amount of time I work this time of year, the numerous holiday movies that I have to watch at this time of year, and all the other distractions that pop up during Christmas time. The good news is that I did manage to successfully complete both challenges since the minimum requirement was one book. Next year I will make sure I get at least one more book in.
Murder Never Takes a Holiday by Jessica Fletcher and Donald Bains
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Skipping Christmas by John Grisham
Impressed you were able to finish any books with your busy schedule! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteI too read A Christmas Carol and absolutely loved it..made the whole movie come alive in my mind. I read Skipping Christmas a few years back and enjoyed that one too!! I'll have to remember Murder Never Takes a Holiday!!
ReplyDeleteYou did better then I did with The Christmas Reading Challenge. I only finished one book!
ReplyDeleteI always forget how crazy it is in retail during the holidays-and I got sick, and got even less reading done then normal. Good job on finishing them!
Great job and fun books! I really enjoyed Skipping Christmas. I have never committed to a challenge (yet) but this would be one for me. I love Christmas books and December is when I read as many as I can get my hands on. I may have to sign up for this year!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing the challenges. I've never gotten around to reading Skipping Christmas... every year I say I'm going to and never... maybe next year. :D
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing both challenges...especially mine..hee hee! You read some good ones. I'll be hosting it again next Christmas and I hope you will join in again.
ReplyDeleteI still have not done my wrap up post...I'm slow!
