I won a trade paperback of The Handmaid's Tale from Alexis at Reflections of a Bookaholic during the Banned Book Week Giveaway Hop.
I received a trad paperback of The Doll by Daphne du Maurier for an upcoming TLC Book Tour.
I picked up The Handmaid's Tale a couple of months ago and have been wanting to read it but I just haven't been in the right mood. Though it's definitely a priority.
The Handmaid's Tale is a terrific book! Enjoy. I can't believe I have never heard of The Doll by DuMaurier --need to check that one out. Hope you have a great week Ryan.
I have been meaning to read The Handmaids Tale for a while, I have heard it it really good. Hope you enjoy it!
I've never heard of The Doll either. I had The Hnadmaid's Tale for a long time, but couldn't remember if I read it in college, which I think I did, or only saw the movie. I think it ended up getting donated at some point when I was trying to dig my house out from underneath books!
Not an Atwood fan but The Doll sounds wonderful. I just love Daphne DuMaurier. Enjoy your new books, Ryan, and have a great week.
Two good ones! I keep meaning to read The Handmaid's Tale because it is on a couple of book lists I'm working through. Thanks for the reminder!

The Handmaids Tale was my first taste of Atwood. Found it strange and interesting.

I haven't heard of The Doll either. But I do have a copy of The Handmaiden's Tale that I picked up at a used book sale. I did see the movie and one of these days will read the book.
I loved The Handmaid's Tale...great story!! Enjoy!
I'll be looking forward to your thoughts on The Doll.
Should be two good ones. Enjoy!
I have been such a bad blogger bestie. I'm sorry, Ryan. =O(
I have owned A Handmaid's Tale for years and I can't believe I still have not read it. I have The Doll on order right now. I loved her short stories we read for TuesBookTalk. Hoping these will be good too.
