Mailbox Monday for 11/14/11


Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme created by Marcia at A Girl and Her Books and is being hosted all this month by her Mailbox Monday Blog.



I stopped in at Target the other night and found two great Christmas deals that I couldn't pass up.  I found a CD I've been wanting for a while, Holiday Spirits from Straight No Chaser for $9.99.  I also picked up a DVD of Miracle On 34th Street for the same price.  It has both the B&W and colorized versions on it.




One of the perks of my job is that I get free stuff every once in a while.  Two weeks ago I was given a $110 gift certificate to Merrell.com, my favorite shoe company in the world.  When I went on the site I really couldn't find any shoes I wanted, I already own quite a few.  So I got two shirts instead.  I got the Hoffman Flannel shirt and a long sleeve T-Shirt that has vintage national park posters on the back.  I'm already in love with the flannel shirt, but haven't had a chance to wear the T-Shirt yet.

    Target is one of my favorite stores. They even have fresh groceries in our neighborhood Target now. Enjoy your goodies!

    My Target is hit or miss. Sometimes I discover great finds, and sometimes I can search every aisle and come up empty. :(

    Love the shirts! I used to live in flannel shirts for awhile. Wonder if I have any in the back of my closet? *L*

    Regardless of the version, Miracle on 34th Street has been one of my all-time favorite Christmas movies since I was little. :) Great finds!!

    I love Straight No Chaser! I'll bet their Christmas CD is wonderful! A cozy flannel and a Christmas movie sounds comforting to me! Enjoy!

    Okay, now why have I not heard of Straight No Chaser? I'm going to have to look into that one. I got the Christmas CD by Billy Bob Thornton's band at the library sale this weekend. It's called Christmas Cheer, but I can't think of the name of the band right now...duh! I have it listed in my 'currently listening to' section on my right sidebar.

    Ahhh, Miracle on 34th Street...love it! I even love the remake...don't hate on me...I just love Christmas movies, even the most cheesy ones. =O)

    Great shirts! I keep wondering if I'm ever going to get to see what you look like, my dear friend. ;O)
