Mailbox Monday for 2/15/2010

Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page

I bought a hardcover of A Betrayal In Winter by Daniel Abraham, a trade paperback of Madam Secretary by Madeleine Albright, and a hardcover of The City of Falling Angels by John Berendt for $1 a piece at The Dollar Tree.

I won a hardcover of The Swan Thieves by Elizabeth Kostova from Jen at Devourer of Books

I bought hardcovers of Vanish With The Rose by Barbara Michaels and Labyrinth by Kate Moss for $1 a piece at the Friends of the Library Bookstore.  The cover for Vanish With The Rose is diferent but this was the only picture I could find, I like the one my hardcover has a lot better.

I was sent a ARC of Venom by Joan Brady from the publisher.  Carolyn of Book Chick City made all the arrangements as a extra incentive for all those particapating in her Thriller & Suspense Reading Challenge 2010.

I love the cover to Labyrinth and Venom looks interesting. I will be starting The Swan Thieves this week on audiobook and I can't wait. I loved the full cast of The Historian and this is full cast also so I'm excited!

You always have a great list of books. Is A Betrayal in Winter part of the series you just reviewed? It looks kind of like the same style of cover. Sounds like a series I just may enjoy too.

Happy Readin!

Oh, I love Barbara Michaels books, but haven't read this one!

I've been seeing Venom around, and have another book by this author called Bleedout (have to move it up on my stack!).

Wow you got a load of books. I hope you enjoy Swan Thieves. Its very different than The Historian but I liked it. I didn't really like Historian though

Someone at work gave me The City of Falling Angels because they knew I love Venice. :) Isn't that nice? I have read Vanish with the Rose, but I don't remember much about it. I think I found it a bit confusing because it's actually the second book in a series and I hadn't read the first one yet... or I might be confusing it with another Barbara Michaels book, you never know.
