The God of the Woods by Liz Moore — A friend of mine sent this to me when it was first released, and while I’m just now getting started, I’m enjoying it so far.
Trust: America’s Best Chance by Pete Buttigieg — With the steady rise of misinformation bombarding us from all directions, this felt like the right moment to revisit it.
The Mage and His Brute by Ava Salinger — A gay Regency romance/mystery series with an intricate magic system. I'm turning to this when everything else feels too heavy.
Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen — This was one of the selections for the “12 Books from 12 Friends” challenge on Facebook. As much as I want to enjoy it, I’m struggling.

The only Austen book I've ever read was Pride and Prejudice, for uni. Luckily, it wasn't a chore for me, but I believe it may be her best book (if its popularity is anything to go by). I have no desire to test her others LOL.
I read Northanger Abbey years ago and it was one of those books I had to trudge through. I've felt like I should give it another chance but am not motivated. The God of the Woods is on my radar but I haven't decided if I'm going to read it yet. I'm glad to see you're enjoying it!
I haven't read any Austen. Some of my blog friends really like that though.
I still haven't picked up The God of the Woods. I think I'd enjoy it.
Roberta, It may take me 12 months to read this one.
Katherine, It's definitely not something I'm enjoying right now. I keep hoping the next page will get better, or that I'll get used to the style.
Mary, I have friends that absolutely love her, but I'm struggling.
It's one of those books that I instantly knew that I was going to enjoy.
I'm fascinated with Pete Buttigieg. I am interested in hearing more about what he thinks is important.
There is a reason why I prefer Pride and P variations ;)
Loved God of the Woods, which I just finished last week.
I am thinking Pete Buttigieg will make a fantastic president, hopefully not in the too distant future.
The Mage and His Brute sounds like fun! Always good to have a lighter read to relax with.
You might think about listening to NA instead of reading it. So much of the humor really shines through when well read. NA is my least favorite of the Austen novels, but still fun imo.
Debbie, I absolutely love him and his husband. I was all in for him when he ran, and I’m hoping he does again.
Linda, I love Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
Jane, I'm really hoping he will be president someday.
Me, too!
