Mailbox Monday for 6/6/11

Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme created by Marcia at The Printed Page and is being hosted all this month by The Bluestocking Guide.

On a trip to a used bookstore I picked up 5 books for less than $5.  I picked up paperbacks of  The Swimming Pool by Mary Roberts Rinehart, The Wall by Mary Roberts Rinehart, and The Case of the Velvet Claws by Erle Stanley Gardner.  I also picked up hardcovers of The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene and The Tower Treasure by Franklin W. Dixon.

I received a hardcover of Centuries of June by Keith Donohue for an upcoming TLC Book Tour.

Oh, you have your Monday post up already. I have to work on mine tomorrow. But you got some great deals and so many books. :) I didn't get any last week. Although I have ordered books, they just haven't shown up yet. :) Hope you have a great week. And I'll get you the FFC post. I'm sorry I didn't do it this weekend. I was down sick with my allergies. Oooo, the allergy attacks this weekend. My eyes where so sore I couldn't even read. And light is still getting to my head. But, I've got a plan and will get it to you here very very soon. Take care!

More Rinehart books, I see. I'm telling you, you're going to read one of my MM posts one day and there will be some Rinehart books on it. My library sale is Saturday. I'm going to see if I can find any of them.

I still have my Nancy Drew books from when I was a girl! I might have to pick one up this summer.

Ohhhh... Fun!!! I loved Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books growing up. I actually picked up a few to have here for when my niece stays the night. They are great, and The Secret Of The Old Clock is one that I've got. :)

Here's my Mailbox! ~ Wendi

Whoa - is that Keith Donohue as in The Stolen Child? Before I read your post, I thought you had suddenly developed an interest in the romance genre.

I love the vintage covers of your Mailbox finds. Your weren't kidding when you said you were gonna get all of Rinehart's other books.

I had both The Nancy Drew book and stole The Hardy Boys book from my brother as a child. I wonder where those books are now? Great finds at the used bookstore. The Wall looks like a good one to read. I love the old book covers!

I love the older books you picked up. Erle Stanley Gardner - what a blast from the past. And I remember that Nancy Drew vividly. And almost no one knows about Mary Roberts Rinehart. She was such a great mystery writer. Thanks for sharing and enjoy!

I loved Nancy Drew when I was younger but don't remember if I ever read that one or not. I'm collecting all the Hardy Boys books for my son :)
