Mailbox Monday for 1/4/2010

Mailbox Monday is a weekly meme hosted by Marcia at The Printed Page

I won this ARC of Arch Enemy by Frank Beddor from Michelle at The True Book Addict

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown was one of the two books I bought with a gift card I got for Christmas.

Changing The World edited by Mercedes Lackey was the second book I bought with that gift card. It is a new collection of short stories set in the Kingdom of Valdemar.

I bought a hardcover copy of Good Bones and Simple Murders by Margaret Atwood from the Friends of the Library Bookstore for $.75.

Tough Cookies by Diane Mott Davidson in hardcover was bought from The Friends of the Library Bookstore for $1.

I also got my book blogger swap package last week, you can click here to see the wonderful presents I got.

I loved that Atwood book enough to still have my copy years after I read it. Enjoy all the great reads. I have my mom's copy of The Lost Symbol, but haven't gotten around to it yet.

What great books! I should check out my Friends of the Library bookstore too. I drop boxes of books off there every month, but don't browse their selection for fear of adding new books to my tbr ;)

I've never read anything by Margaret Atwood, though I've been wanting to read The Handmaid's Tale for a while- but I can't seem to find it in any of the local book shops.

Have you read Something Missing by Matthew Dick? Although it's not similar to any of the books I have seen you discuss, for some reason I think you might like it (I usually have a sense about these things :) )

Hey Ryan, you have a great line up here. I have been wanting the series that Arch Enemy belongs to. I am going to have to get it at some point here.

I have the Angels and Demons book By Dan Brown that I won. I cant wait to get into this book. I think I may like it. I have heard many mixed reviews of it and Lost Symbol, so I am really curious to read your review of Lost Symbol when you finally get to it.

Melissa beat me to the punch, but I was going to post that I am curious as to what you think about Lost Symbol when you finish reading it. Looking forward to your review!

Nice selection of books last week! Have to check, but I don't think I have Good Bones so will need to pick up a copy. Don't you love Library Bookstores? :-)

Glad you received Arch Enemy and I see you finally got The Lost Symbol...good for you! I'm going to read it for one of the challenges...I think BCC's Thriller & Suspense.

The Friends of the Library are awesome with their uber cheap books =O)
